Description

Guru Lakhang Cave Temple - just above the Phyang Monastery in Ladakh, India.

I travelled to Tibet and Ladakh with Dr. Hun Lye this past summer to view & photograph different Tibetan Monasteries of the Drikung Kagyu lineage. It was an incredible trip, and the photos are turning out amazing.

For this video, I wanted to give you the sense of what it was like to walk up to the cave temple and what it was like to be inside. This is a 12th-Century cave temple... and you can feel it when you're inside.

I'll include more info here soon as to which deities are painted on the walls - for now, you can hear from Dr. Hun Lye that there are a number of Mahakalas, a Kalachakra and the 84 Mahasiddhas among others.

I'll be hosting a talk and a photography exhibition of a number of my photographs taken during this trip on December 4th (2014) at Urban Dharma in Asheville, NC.

If you'd like to be informed of when we share more videos and photographs from our trip, please subscribe to this youtube channel and visit my facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/TazDigital

Feel free to ask any questions you may have. I'll do my best to answer them!

Thank you!
