Nineteen monks have completed a four-month pilgrimage for peace in the US, walking 3,700 kilometres from Fort Worth, Texas to Washington DC. Their 108-day journey drew widespread support, with tens of thousands of fans lining the streets along their route and millions more following online. Their final steps into the US capital were met by huge crowds that helped transform the long-awaited arrival into a powerful procession for peace. Toni Waterman reports from Washington DC.
